Movie Review "Before the Flood"

Nowadays, our society is living in an era of scientific and technological progress, which results in an increasing effect on the biosphere of the Earth.Recently, I’ve watched the staggering movie “Before the Flood” and I want to tell you about my impressions.

To begin with, I was glued to the screen because the plot was quite interesting. The film is based on climate problems such as global warming, the extinction of animal species, and water poisoning because of dangerous emissions from metallurgical combines. People massively extract fossil fuels, including coal, oil, and natural gas, but they don’t realize that these actions have a devastating impact.

The main actor, Leonardo DiCaprio, was researching the emergency and spread of environmental problems on our planet. While he was traveling the world, he met with famous politicians, reporters, and scientists. An actor could see many islands, which were underwater, as well as crops and houses, which were destroyed because of flooding. Furthermore, his studies have shown that electricity consumption in the USA is going to put a hole in the planet. I was impressed that the electricity consumed by one American home is equivalent to 1.5 citizens of France, 10 citizens of China, and 61 citizens of Nigeria. Leonardo DiCaprio stated that, hopefully, renewables like solar and wind will become cheaper. We all have a responsibility to set an example and spring using renewable energy. He has completely used his popularity and explained how important the Paris Climate Summit is.

To sum up, I insist on watching "Before the Flood" because I am sure you will change your attitude to enviromental problems. We all have to remember that this planet is our home. It gives us so many resources to live on, so we have to take care of it as well.
